The Great Western Trail is a 12 mile, crushed limestone trail between West Chicago and Elmhurst.
Note that this trail is not connected to the Kane County trail with the same name.
The west end of the Great Western trail connects with the "Elgin Branch" of the
Illinois Praire Path in West Chicago. The east end of the trail connects with the "Main Spur"
of the Illinois Prairie Path in Villa Park. See the trail map for details.
