The Kishwaukee Kiwanis Pathway and Dekalb-Sycamore Trail combine to make an approximately 11 mile trail from Lions Park in DeKalb
to the west end of the Great Western Trail. The trail is mostly paved paths with some on-road sections. The section of trail south
of Hopkins Park is rather nice with a path that for the most part follows the south branch of the Kishwaukee River.
Note that although much of this trail is clearly marked there are sections and critical turns which are not marked. Just getting through
the Sycamore Sports Complex on the north end of the trail can be difficult. If you are unfamiliar with the trail and attempt to ride it
make sure you have a printed copy of the trail map. Also, make sure that all of the street names on the map are legible because you will
need them to navigate.
