Millennium Trail

The Millennium Trail is approximately 10 miles long with stated plans to lengthen it to 35 miles. This gently rolling, unpaved trail winds through prairies, forest preserves and suburban sub-divisions from Singing Hills Forest Preserve near Volo to Hawley Street and Route 176.

This trail can be a little confusing due to access points and a loop so it is a good idea to print out the trail map (see the link on the Trails page) and take it with you.

You can connect with the North Shore Bike Path by riding 4.5 miles east along Hawley Street. There is a paved path for the first three miles after which you can use sidewalks or the roadway which has plenty of room for bikes. Turn right on Brice Avenue just before Hawley reaches Route 176 and the North Shore Bike Path will on your left a short distance down Brice.
