North Shore Bike Path
The North Shore Bike Path is a 7 mile limestone screening path which runs east-west between Mundelein and Lake Bluff. This trail parallels Route 176 and although it is not the most scenic trail it does provide a nice connection between the Des Plaines River Trail and the Robert McClory Trail (formerly the North Shore Path) in Lake Bluff.

You can connect with the Millenium trail from the west end of the North Shore Bike Path by riding 4.5 miles west along Hawley Street. There is a paved path for the final three miles before which you can use sidewalks or the roadway which has plenty of room for bikes. Turn right on Brice Avenue at the west end of the North Shore Bike Path and then left onto Hawley.
